Britney Spears Demands Public Apology After Alleged Backhand Incident: Exclusive Details

Pop sensation Britney Spears has demanded a public apology from the guard of NBA star Victor Wembanyama, who allegedly "backhanded" her, leading to her fall to the ground.

Taking to Instagram in a recent video, the 41-year-old singer addressed the incident that took place in Vegas and has been widely discussed. She expressed her dissatisfaction with radio presenters who claimed that she deserved to be smacked, arguing that security personnel were merely doing their job of protecting their client.

Recalling a similar incident from her early days touring with NSYNC in the 2000s, Spears emphasized that despite being knocked down by several 12-year-olds attempting to take her picture, her security team refrained from touching or approaching them. She stressed that no woman ever deserves to be hit, countering those who suggested otherwise.

Spears proceeded to recount her encounter with the NBA star, stating, "I simply tapped him on the back, and I was backhanded. He hit my face, I fell on the floor, but my best friend helped me up." She physically acted out the incident while narrating it.

Although she received a personal apology at her table 30 minutes later, Spears has yet to receive a public apology, which she considers important.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has announced that no charges will be filed in relation to the incident. The altercation occurred at the Catch restaurant in the ARIA Hotel.

According to reports and video footage shared by TMZ, Britney Spears approached Wembanyama at the restaurant to request a photo, as she is a fan of the up-and-coming NBA star. However, when she tapped him on the shoulder, the security director allegedly backhanded her, causing her to fall.

While Wembanyama initially claimed that he felt Spears grabbing him from behind, a video released by TMZ contradicts his statement, showing that Spears simply tapped him on the back. The footage also reveals the forceful response of the security guard.

In response to the incident, Spears and her team have filed a battery charge against the security director involved.
