In a major coup in the worlds of MMA and boxing, UFC star Connor McGregor is slated to face boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match on August 26, 2017 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

Connor, 28, who is competing out of Ireland is the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion, and former UFC Featherweight Champion. The brash and outspoken athlete had been teasing a fight with the retired american boxer for the last many months. Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr., 40, is an American professional boxer who remained undefeated as a professional with a record of 49-0. He retired in November 2015. Both the fighters are known for their trash talking tactics and for playing mind games with their opponents.

While there are some who  think the Irish powerhouse with his patented bullying style and powerful left hand will beat the boxing legend, others think of the event as a farce. They are sure that Connor who has never fought in a boxing ring will be obliterated in the blink of an eye. Both the camps have released videos of their wards training for the final fiesta, claiming victory will be easily had.

Connor is the new age fighter with his Ido Portal training methods and slick moves. On the other hand Mayweather is an old school pugilist with super intense and gruelling training methods and fast speed.
