Mohan Thal

Ingredients:

1.    Gram Flour:  2 cups
2.    Desi Ghee:    1 cup
3.    Sugar:   1  cup or according to taste
4.    Water:  1/2 cup
5.    Saffron: 6-7 strings soaked in a tbsp of water
6.    Dry fruits (mixed): finely chopped
7.    Crushed Green Cardamoms: 5-6
8.    Silver varaq: optional




Method:

Heat Ghee in a wok. Once it melts, add the Gram Flour and cook on low flame. Stir continuously till it turns brown. Separately, cook Sugar, Water, crushed green Cardamoms & Saffron to prepare Sugar syrup of 1 string consistency. Pour the Sugar syrup in the Gram Flour mixture and keep stirring till it becomes thick. Add dry fruits and remove from fire.  Pour out the mixture on a greased plate. Decorate with silver varaq. After it cools, cut into small pieces
