Translation

In the realm of wisdom, spiritual wisdom reigns. The sound current of Nada, the celestial music, vibrates in that realm amidst blissful sounds and visions. In the realm of humility, the  bani (Shabad, Word, Simran) is beauty. Forms of incomparable beauty are fashioned here. These things are beyond description. One who attempts to speak of these, regrets for his inability to do so. The intuitive consciousness, intellect and understanding of the mind are shaped here. The consciousness of the spiritual warriors and beings of spiritual perfection is honed here.

Translation

In the realm of karma, the bani (Word) is power. No one else dwells there except warriors of great power and immense courage.  Within whom Lord Rama, His essence, His name, dwells and is infused completely. Myriads of Sitas are here, in their majestic glory. Their beauty cannot be described. There is no death or deception for those within whose minds the Lord resides. The devotees of many worlds dwell there. They are in bliss; the true Lord dwells in their minds. In the realm of truth the Lord resides in His Brahmic form. Having created, He watches over the creation; by His glance of grace, He bestows  happiness. There are planets, solar systems and galaxies; if one speaks of them there is no end. There are worlds upon worlds of His creation. As He commands, so they exist. He watches, contemplates and rejoices upon His creation. O Nanak, it is difficult to describe.

PAURI- 38

Jat Paahaaraa Dheeraj Suni-aar
Ahran Mat Vayd Hathee-aar
Bhao Khalaa Agan Tap Taa-o
Bhaandaa Bhaao Amrit Tit Dhaal
Gharhee-ai Sabad Sachee Taksaal
Jin Ka-o Nadar Karam Tin Kaar
Nanak Nadree Nadar Nihaal

Translation

Let self control be the furnace and patience the gold smith. Let understanding be the anvil and spiritual wisdom the tool. Fear of Lord the bellows, fan the flames of Tapa, the body’s inner heat. In the crucible of love, melt the nectar of His Name. And mint the true coins of the Shabad, the Name of the Lord. Such is the karma of those on whom He showers His glance of grace. O Nanak, the merciful Lord by His grace uplifts and exalts them.

Sloka

Pavan Guroo Paanee Pitaa Maataa Dharat Mahat
Divas Raat Duay Daaee Daaiaa Khaylai Sagal Jagat
Changaaeeaa Buriaaeeaa Vaachai Dharam Hadoor
Karmee Aapo Aapnee Kay Nayrhai Kay Door
Jinee Naam Dhiaaiaa Gaay Maskat Ghaal
Nanak Tay Mukh Ujlay Kaytee Chhutee Naal

Translation

The Guru is the spiritual life force (Air), Water is the Father, Earth is the Mother of all. Day and Night are the two nurses, in whose lap the entire world is at play. Good deeds and bad are announced in the presence of God of Dharma. According to their own actions, some are drawn closer and some are driven farther away. Those who have meditated on the Naam have departed after having worked by the sweat of their brows. O Nanak, their faces are radiant in the Lord’s Court and many are saved along with them.
