Snowball, a dancing  parrot with  a sulphur crest,   had the world mesmerised  with his dance moves almost a decade ago, when he shot to Youtube fame, for showing off his rocking and dancing abilities to famous song Backstreet Boys.

Snowball has done it again! He has got Scientists into a spin by showing off a new array of dance moves. His rythmic body rolls, shimmies and head bangs, have been documented in a new paper published in Current Biology.

Snowball's new capabilities surfaced after his owner Irena Schulz who takes care of the Cockatoo at a bird sanctuary in Duncan, South Carolina, noticed him performing a dazzling  sequence of new moves. This came as a huge surprise because she had not trained him to learn these moves.

This made the Scientist's wonder if the talented bird had taught himself some hitherto unseen impressive dancing steps. So they played him 2 classic songs of 1980s "Another One Bites The Dust" and " Girls Just Want To Have Fun" three times each for 23 minutes.

With this study, the Scientists concluded that the bird had indeed acquired 14 distinct moves and 2 combination moves, thus proving that another species can dance to music spontaneously without being trained based on its own development and social interactions with humans.
