Translation
Those with faith in the Lord are the chosen ones who are acceptable to Him and serve as spiritual leaders.  Such saints are honoured in His Court. The chosen ones grace the court of the Lord. They meditate single mindedly on the Guru. However much one may try to describe, the actions of the Creator are beyond count. The mythical bull is Dharma, the son of compassion. It patiently holds the earth in order. One who understands this becomes pure. What a great load there is on the bull!  There is another world, then many more and more. Which is that power that holds their weight underneath? Countless are the beings, species, colours and names; the Supreme One goes on writing with His unceasing pen. Who knows how to write this account.  Just imagine what a huge scroll it would take if one were to write it. What awesome power, fascinating beauty He has created. The wonderful gifts He has bestowed, who can know their limit? He created the Universe with One Word. Within it flow millions of rivers. I cannot even begin to describe Your mighty creative potency. I am not worthy enough to be a sacrifice to You even once. O Lord, the right thing is the one that pleases You; Your will prevails. You are ever constant, unchanging and eternal.

Translation
Countless recite Your name, countless yearn for You with differing dispositions, Countless worship You and countless exercise self restraint.  Countless scriptures and recitation of the Vedas. Countless Yogis detach their minds from the world. Countless devotees contemplate and ponder on Your all pervasive supreme intelligence. Countless sacrifice, countless donate. Countless warriors confront the enemy. Countless remain in silence meditating on You.  I cannot even begin to describe Your mighty creative potency.  I am not worthy enough to be a sacrifice to You even once. O Lord, the right thing is the one that pleases You; Your will prevails. You are ever constant, unchanging and eternal.

Translation
Countless are fools blinded by ignorance. Countless are thieves and deceitful persons. Countless impose their will by force. Countless cut throats and are ruthless killers. Countless are sinners who keep sinning. Countless are liars, wandering lost in their lies. Countless are degraded persons who eat filth. Countless are slanderers who continue to talk ill of others, carrying the weight of their mistakes on their heads. Satguru Nanakdevji describes the state of the lowly. I am not worthy enough to be a sacrifice to You even once. O Lord, the right thing is the one that pleases You; Your will prevails. You are ever constant, unchanging and eternal.

Translation
Countless are names and countless are places. Inaccessible and Unapproachable countless spiritual realms. Even to call them countless is to carry weight on one’s head, so vast is His creation. From the Word comes the Naam, the melody. From the Word comes the Naam, from the Word comes Your praise. From the Word comes wisdom and the hymns.  With the Word You inscribed destiny on each forehead. But there is no such inscription on the  Writer of each destiny. As He ordains, so we receive.   The created universe is manifestation of Your name. There is no place without the grace of  Your name. I cannot even begin to describe Your mighty creative potency.  I am not worthy enough to be a sacrifice to You even once. O Lord, the right thing is the one that pleases You; Your will prevails. You are ever constant, unchanging and eternal.

 PAURI- 20

Bhareeai Haath Pair Tan Dayh, Paanee Dhotai Utras Khayh
Moot Paleet Kaparh Hoay, Day Saaboon Leeai Oh Dhoay
Bhareeai Mat Paapaa Kai Sang, Oh Dhopai Naavai Kai Rang
Punnee Paapee Aakhan Naahi, Kar Kar Karnaa Likh Lai Jaahu
Aapay Beej Aapay Hee Khaahu, Nanak Hukmee Aavhu Jaahu

Translation
If hands, feet or body get dirty, the dust can be cleaned with water. If clothes gets filthy, they can be cleaned with soap. However, if the intellect is soiled with sin then it can only be cleaned with the colour of the Naam. Virtue and Vice are not mere words; the actions of a person when performed repeatedly get engraved on the soul and govern one’s future. Guru Nanakdevji says that you shall reap what you sow. By Lord’s command we come and go in reincarnation.
